Indigenous Plant Restoration Program

Replanting Hawaii’s Land

Hawaii's reforestation project aims to restore at least 1,000 endemic plant species found only in Hawaii and its surrounding islands. Our goal is to support and revitalize nature, encouraging the regeneration of this one-of-a-kind botanical ecosystem.

The past's neglect is now being replaced with knowledge and sustainable action. The local island communities, deeply connected to their land, are eager to restore their native flora and once again nourish themselves with these ancient, nutrient-rich plants, naturally fertilized by volcanic soil.

The extraordinary biodiversity, nutritional value, and exotic beauty of these plants inspire us to rejuvenate this unique garden—enhancing Hawaii’s natural heritage for the benefit of humanity as a whole.

Attached is the PDF containing our research on approximately 1,000 endemic plant species, including several native fruits and vegetables.

We welcome partners and supporters to join us in this vital restoration effort, ensuring Hawaii’s natural beauty and biodiversity thrive for future generations
