The Legacy of Indigenous Agriculture in Hawaii
For thousands of years, indigenous cultures have sustained themselves through traditional agriculture. One such example is the taro plant, which, when hand-pounded into a smooth paste, produces Poi—a highly nutritious staple similar to mashed potatoes that has nourished the Hawaiian people for generations.
Our vision is to cultivate 20,000 acres of this incredible plant, ensuring that every Hawaiian has access to nutrient-rich food that supports optimal health, along with other indigenous plants that serve as vital food sources.
In a groundbreaking development, Hawaiians have discovered an innovative method to preserve Poi without refrigeration, making it possible to share this traditional superfood with the world. Now, Poi can be shipped by mail on demand, ensuring accessibility for people everywhere.
Stay tuned for an upcoming video showcasing this breakthrough!
Beyond taro, we are committed to revitalizing Hawaii’s agricultural heritage by cultivating hundreds of edible plants, including Moringa, native coconut varieties, indigenous grapes, and extraordinary small fruits reminiscent of blueberries. Our mission is not only to reforest the islands for their natural beauty but also to harness the power of these crops to nourish the planet—starting with the people of Hawaii
As we move forward, we envision a future where fast-food chains serving burgers, fries, and processed meals are replaced by these extraordinary, healthful foods.
Additionally, for those who enjoy meat, a dedicated segment of our initiative will explore sustainable and ethically sourced options. Stay connected for more updates!
